The unique gift series "Crystal Coin" is the result of a combination of traditional Jablonec crafts - the Czech Mint and Preciosa glassworks. One of the most popular motifs appearing on silver coins with Czech crystal is the birth of a child. The original cradle gift will also be issued in 2025.
Celebrating a new life takes different forms in different countries. Americans celebrate in advance - the party is held three weeks before the birth and is associated with a rich endowment of useful gifts that will come in handy after the birth. In Germany, on the other hand, they believe that giving gifts or holding parties before the baby is born brings bad luck. Russians, like Americans, are keen on practicality, and congratulations are not infrequently given to the baby with a complete outfit. Mexicans bring cigars to families where a baby boy is born, and otherwise the gift takes the form of chocolate. Special sweet gifts are also popular in the Netherlands, Belgium and Iran. And what about the Czechs? They have begun to revive the magic of a penny made of precious metal inserted into a cradle. But most mothers, regardless of nationality, will agree that throwing a party is the last thing they have the energy for before giving birth and after returning from the hospital. On the other hand, daddy's drinking the offspring is not to be missed in almost any culture...
The reverse side of the commemorative coin presents a combination of embossed relief, cut Czech crystal and traditional symbolism. The feet of the newborn baby are tiny, fragile and cute - they grow quickly and remind how tiny the baby was when the parents brought him home. In the rendition by medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS., the feet are supplemented with other baby motifs along with the bilingual inscription VÍTEJ NA SVĚTĚ - HELLO BABY. On the obverse side you will find a teddy bear. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with the licence of a foreign issuer, which is the island of Niue, the obverse side bears its necessary attributes - the national emblem, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025.
The coin represents an original, yet traditional gift for the birth of a child.

The silver coin of the Czech Mint from the gift series with motifs of 12 signs of the zodiac will become not only a beautiful, but also a valuable talisman for everyone who was born in the sign of Aquarius.
Aquarius, Latin for Aquarius, is one of the oldest observed constellations in the zodiac. It is associated with a number of legends, but in all of them it has the form of a man with a bucket, a jug or other vessel. In Egyptian mythology, Aquarius caused the flooding of the Nile, in Greek myths it was Zeus who punished sinful humanity with a stream of water. The celestial ruler of the born in the sign of Aquarius is the planet Uranus, which in astrology is a symbol of change, coups, unrest, but also originality. Aquarius is often given a desire for freedom and the demolition of old order. Therefore, they often become thinkers, discoverers, artists and visionaries who are ahead of their time. Sometimes, however, they also show inadaptability and a tendency to be different at all costs. Surprisingly, the element of aquarius is not water, but air which signifies extraterrestrial thinking.
he coin of a non-traditional oval shape bears a colored image of Aquarius in the form of an ancient man with an amphora on the reverse side. Photographs or computer graphics were not used as a template for coloring - the author of the coin, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., created an original watercolor painting. The relief in the background behind Aquarius presents a disk with a dozen zodiac signs. The composition of the reverse side is supplemented with a Latin inscription of AQUARIUS and an astrological symbol. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse sides bear its national emblem, the nominal value of ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2021. All this is surrounded by twelve astrological signs.

Everyone hopes that he or she will find happiness in the form of a four-leaf clover. The Czech Mint decided to make this a little easier for everyone and prepared a silver coin with Czech crystal from the Crystal Coin gift line.
Clover is an ordinary herb with a modest appearance - it has a purple flower and a trifoliate leaf. However, approximately one plant out of ten thousand differs from its relative species - it has one extra leaf. Finding such a rare specimen in a meadow is not easy at all. It is no wonder that the fourth leaf of the four-leaf clover, which according to legend was brought by the biblical Eve from the Garden of Eden, has always been associated with happiness. The other three leaves then represent hope, faith and love. If you want a four-leaf clover to provide you with its magical power, you need to carry it with you - dried and pressed. Our ancestors, who wanted to protect their home, also placed it under the threshold. Moreover, the girls who wished to see the future groom in the dream put it under the pillow for a change.
The reverse side of the coin, which was processed by the medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS., presents two four-leaf clovers - one in the form of a relief ornament and the other composed of cut crystal stones. The composition of the reverse side is supplemented with a Czech-English inscription of ČTYŘLÍSTEK PRO ŠTĚSTÍ - FOUR-LEAF CLOVER FOR GOOD LUCK. You will also find the decoration in the form of an indicated heart-shaped leaf on the obverse side. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by the foreign issuer, the island of Niue, they bear the attributes of the obverse -, the year of issue 2025 and the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (WST).
The coin comes in a limited edition of 1000 pieces and is an original gift for every occasion. It is stored in an elegant packaging which you can easily turn into a practical frame.
